Uuuugggghhhhhh!
So the roomie and I have that GreatApartmentInCrappyLocation ready for us on August 15 (woohoo to getting own place, although not so woohoo for not having furniture, cable or internet available immediately - so most likely still living at home). Checked the offcampus website again today (because REALLY hate the location of GreatApartment - it's a deadend street off a major roadway, and right before the exit to another major roadway - traffic will be hell, not to mention we're only allowed one parking space and the last time I was there, I could not for the life of me, find any guest parking). Found a really great apartment with HUGE bedrooms, which the roomie wants, but the apartment only has a shower.
Huh. Just a shower. Huh. The roomie says he's perfectly fine with just a stall. I'm conflicted. If it's a really really really great apartment, I'd be willing to get over the lack of a tub. Well, okay... maybe I might get over it. But is my preference of having a tub due more to a PoohHangUp or a gender difference?
Anyway, doesn't matter, because even though the guy sounded nice on the phone, the roomie says it's actually his apartment from 2 years ago and the man was pure evil. Not, mind you, like the kind of PureEvil RC inflicted on us at AU, but close. Evil.
Back to surfing the offcampus sites for a better apartment. We have until Wednesday, when we promised to go sign the lease, so... wish us luck.
On the pooey front: PoohRents and PoohBro are coming home tomorrow night. Ugh. That means someone has to pick them up and miss MI-5. Oh, and no more late night computer time. Bleh. But thank God they're back because the PoohMom made a crapload of food for us before they left, and we only just finished it all last night. Blasted Thing 2 would not let me cook/buy new food until it was all gone. If I see another bowl of noodles or anything with green peppers again - ok, in the next month - I will kill myself. And that's not a threat. Argh.
