"She's tolerable, I suppose, but not handsome enough to tempt me."
Weeeee!! I love A&E. Not only did they bring us 'MI-5', but they're also showing 'P&P' right now. Mmmm. Darcy. Nevermind that I already have the series on VHS and DVD. Heh.
Yummy. Colin Firth. And the really large Dunkin Donuts iced coffee I'm sipping right now. Hee. Caffeine... The Pooh's going to be hyper tonight. Yuppers.
And because she's in such a (generally) good mood right now, she's putting out her wish list in the hopes of soliciting more gadgets advice on brands, models, etc. Just in case someone wanted to help her spend her (nonexistent) money. In no particular order of importance, except that she must get (well... really really really WANT) these items:
1. Region-free DVD player. To hack or not to hack? Advice? Suggestions? Preferences?
2. Laptop. Reasonably priced one to "replace" (ok, who am I kidding -- to supplement, and for when I'm too lazy to get out of bed to actually sit at a real computer) the crappy desktop.
3. Digital camera. Reasonably priced (see a trend?), stylish, compact, 2-3Mpixels, uses AA batteries.
4. A 19-20" TV so I can watch all my hotties on a non-squishy, non-13" screen. Ok, don't really need any help on this one. Just going to get the cheapest one I can find. I love my men, but unless they're going to watch TV with me, there's no reason to get a really nice one.
5. Furniture. So not really looking for advice on this one, but just adding it to the list since without a bed, the Pooh can't really actually move into the apartment. Thank God we're getting our cable installed on Monday, though. Cable before bed. I mean... priorities, right?
Huh. Now that I'm all happy and stuff, might as well bitch a bit. Cuz HappyPooh? That's pretty scary. Y'all better get used to this. Last year it was the Rabbit/Wabbit saga. This year, the DamnRoomie soap opera has already begun. Jackass was supposed to pick up the keys from the landlady today, and leave my set on my desk at school so I can start moving in whenever. Now, I say supposed to. Called him. No answer. Got the voicemail twice. Left message asking whether he got the keys or not, and to call me back to let me know if he did because if he didn't, then there's no reason for me to rush out and start buying stuff for the apartment since I'll have nowhere to put it. But if he did, then I can start scrounging up crap to move tomorrow or Sunday. Five hours later... still no return call. So now what? I have no clue what I'm doing tomorrow. If he keeps this up, I'm really going to start regretting my decision to share an apartment with him. And also, now that I think about it... if I graduate in December (HA! Where have I heard THAT before?!), and unless I get a job in the area, what the hell do I need an apartment for the other 7 months? Oy.
That sounds suspiciously like I've gotten used to living back home again. If it does... duh. Free food, free cable, free electricity, free free free free... Oy. Oy. Oy.
