So my days of twidding my thumbs seem to be over. I actually had stuff to do today, but not much. Next week, I get to do a whole bunch of stuff. By myself. Because most of the supervising people will be in training all week. Um...too bad I'm not quite sure what the heck I'm supposed to be doing, and have to wait to see if one of the engineers will provide me with instructions and materials, etc, by the time I return to work on Tuesday. Oy. I'm going to have to make sure I can macgyver my way through whatever the heck I'm supposed to do because if I can't figure things out by myself, that's not going to look too great, right? *anxiety attack*

Had an hour and a half of bloodborne pathogen training. One of the most disorganized sessions I've had so far. Lots of boring stats about HIV and all the hep diseases. The fun part? Finding out that most of the people in the department I work for are just as juvenile as I am, which they could be during the session because they had already taken it before. I was a good girl and actually paid attention. *yawn* And of course, got tsked by the nurse presenting the information because I never finished my Hep B series, which I started a good 7 (holy shit. SEVEN???!!??) years ago. Dude. 3 shots over a course of almost a year? How the heck was I supposed to remember to do that? *spanks self with wet noodle*

Oh, and just to share the wonderful information I learned: Y'all know that when you wash your hands WITH soap, you're supposed to do it for as long as it takes for you to get through 'Happy Birthday' twice. Roughly 40-45 seconds. Dude, that nurse was cracked.

Just to reassure Meg that I meant all the Mr. Rogers stuff in a very childishly innocent way.... I hated when he took off his cardigan. See? A guy I don't want to see with his clothes off. Heh. :P
